| There are various advantages of nameserver or domain name servers. Basically, nameserver stands for a server that returns the requested webpage. For instance, in the example above, you will type in your domain name on the browser and your website will be returned. But if you do not know any website IP address, the nameserver function of finding the website on the Internet will not work for you. When the domain name is not resolved, then you will get an error message. In addition, if you have any website IP address, you can use the "fy-addresses" extension to enter the IP addresses. This extension is mainly supported by MSN, ICQ and yahoo. To access the IP address of the domain name system, you will need the "fy-addresses" extension. You may also use the standard query language (QLS), which supports the use of "&" instead of ";". Using this technique, you will be able to enter the IP addresses that are part of the standard query. The next technique is the domain name server lookup (dsds). You will be able to access the IP address using the "ds-servers" command. You may also use the standard query language (SQL) to enter the IP addresses. If you can not get the IP address in the SQL query or with the standard query, you can try to run the "ds-check-ip" or "ds-check-host". This command checks the host header for the IP address. Then, you will be able to access the domain name system. You will be able to check the IP addresses in the "ips" table. If you enter an IP in the "ips" table and you get an error message, you may try to ping the domain name server. As mentioned earlier, you may use another DNS server if you have a business that has more than one domain name. If the DNS servers are not compatible, your website cannot be accessed using both. You may try resetting the DNS server. It is not recommended for non-masters to reset the DNS server settings as non-masters have no authority to change the settings. You should know that resetting the DNS settings manually is not recommended. You should not even attempt to delete the DNS entries manually. This is because resetting the DNS entries manually can cause severe damage to your system. If you accidentally deleted a domain name or domain nameserver entry, you may end up with a mysterious " Connection refused" error. In addition, you may end up with a "Failed to connect" error if you do not properly reset the DNS settings. You should also avoid manually resetting the DNS entries. A manual reset will conflict with the DNS nameservers listed in your H DNS zone files. This can lead to your domain name becoming pointlessly available and could cause further problems. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you contact a domain nameserver administrator or a reputable nameserver provider to reset the DNS settings of your domain name. There are two ways of resetting the DNS of a domain name. These methods are known as the dynamic and the static method. The dynamic method involves the use of an update DNS or a zone transfer. In order to use the update DNS method, you must create a DNS zone using the nameserver for the domain name and associate it with an IP address. When this is done, then any changes to the IP address of the domain name will be reflected on the nameserver for the domain. One of the main advantages of using this method is that the updates made to the DNS will affect only the information that is stored within the DNS zone files. This means that these updates will not affect the DNS records that are found outside of the domain name. Furthermore, these types of DNS resetting procedures are very effective and safe. If there are problems associated with resetting the DNS records, then you should be able to detect them and manually correct them before they are published. Manual changes however are not possible when you have registered the domain name with different nameservers. Another advantage that is associated with using the static method of resetting the DNS is that the information stored within the DNS zone files will not change even if you make any changes to the domain name itself. This means that once you have registered a domain name, it will remain the same until you manually change it. Furthermore, if you are using a dynamic DNS service, then there are chances that the information stored within the DNS zone files may contain old or obsolete information. This is another reason why manually resetting the DNS is not recommended. When you are trying to register a domain name with an IP address, then you should always try to use one of the recommended nameserver for your domain name. This will ensure that the information provided by the DNS service will be consistent and accurate. It is also recommended that you check the nameservers that you have registered with and compare them with the ones that are used in the IP address. Using the information provided from these nameservers, you can then determine which domain name is considered to be more appropriate for your needs. |
